This beautiful October Wedding took place at the Artist’s Retreat in Brown County. It was decked out with fall colors and a beautiful barn setting. The weather was perfect. Cool enough for an outdoor fire in the evening, but warm enough for the ceremony to be outdoors. There’s something really special about barn weddings that I just adore. Perhaps my heart belongs in the country?! 🙂 Nicole and Jen have the sweetest spirits and I’m so thankful they invited me to share in their special wedding day. I admired how gracefully they handled their position as a lesbian couple inviting friends and family to enter into a space of being who they are where they are…taking no sides. They had a handout available to express their thoughts and views about being a lesbian wedding and truly tried to make everyone comfortable. I saw respect, humility, and adoration over and over again throughout their special day and was blessed by their genuine care for each other and everyone else all day. Their kindness humbled me over and over again. It is forever etched in my heart as an incredibly special day. Thanks, Jen & Nikki, for allowing me to be by your side on your beautiful day!
