Proverbs 3:15…”She is more precious than rubies!”

Happy birth day, Ruby Grace! One year ago, this precious baby girl came into the world. I’m just a little late on the blogging. 😉

It is so heart warming to remember the birth of this sweet girl one year ago! I think back to this day and the entire night before. Yes, I said day AND night. I arrived early in the evening and stayed until after lunch time the following day. I slept on this little window bench off and on while cheering on Angie through her labor and assisting in any way I could. It seemed to go on and on. It was a long rough night for Angie, but her friend, Sarah, and I were in it for the long haul. We weren’t going anywhere until Ruby made her appearance. When she did, her dark eyes and dark gorgeous hair were the center of all conversations. She was stunning and still is. Anyone who lays eyes on her is smitten by her sweetness and beauty! Her name suits her perfectly.

This was a long and hard experience for Angie, but she persevered with such grace and gentleness. She truly has the spirit of a warrior. Watching Ruby entering was a sacred and special experience in my life. I always find it to be such an honor and privilege to photograph a birth because it is so intimate and such an astounding miracle. It is mind blowing, emotional, and overwhelmingly intense yet beautiful all at the same time. It is raw. It is real. It is breath taking. It is merely indescribable. It is inspiring to see the inner strength of a mom always fighting and never giving up. Women are super heros. This is proof!

Thank you, Ang, for allowing me to be by your side as one of your cheerleaders and as your birth photographer. What a gift Ruby Grace is to those who know her! I can’t wait to see how God blesses her life in the future!
